This isn't a working farm anymore—it’s a social hub with activities that change with the seasons.
The Nelson Farm Pool: This is the ultimate "tourist-friendly" swimming spot. It features a lazy river, a splash pad for toddlers, and a giant outdoor hot tub. Note: Access is usually for resort guests or day-pass holders.
The Pump Track: For kids with bikes or scooters, there is a brand-new bike pump track where they can practice their skills on a series of rolling hills and banked turns.
Axe Throwing & Archery: For families with older kids (teens), they have dedicated ranges for axe throwing and archery, with instructors to help you hit the bullseye.
Morning: Start with a "pioneer breakfast" at the Cle Elum Bakery (get the donuts—they’ve been using the same brick oven since 1906).
Mid-Day: Head to Nelson Farm. Spend the morning at the pump track or the playground, then head to the pool to float the lazy river.
Lunch: Have a casual family lunch at The Stovehouse (right at the resort), which has one of the best kids' menus in the area and a great outdoor patio.
Afternoon: Drive 10 minutes to Speelyi Beach on Lake Cle Elum. It’s a flat, sandy beach where you can drive your car right up to the water’s edge—perfect for easy loading and unloading of beach gear.
Seasonal Festivals: This is where Cle Elum’s most famous events happen.
Summer: Outdoor movies under the stars and concert series.
Fall: The massive Harvest Festival, featuring pumpkin patches, wagon rides, and straw mazes.
The Playground & Sports: There is a large, modern playground and wide-open grassy fields perfect for a game of tag or flying a kite with the Cascades as your backdrop.
